FreshGrocer at 56th.
Ok so it's ghetto outside and the neighborhood sucks, but trust me they have exactly everything that's at the 40th location, exactly the same, same prices. The new EL stop there is nice and Market Street is slowly recovering now that the construction is over. Market Street though needs a massive resurfacing job now, which will never happen, but that's life.
Easier to get in and out of the one at 40th. The store manager is always walking the floors and they do their best to keep it from getting Jerry Springer up in there [which really never happens].
When I lived at 13th/Chestnut I would purposely go to the West Philly store rather than the 40th St location. Easier to get in and out (I would take the El), and it's way cleaner and nicer indoors than even the South Street SuperCruise.
Oh and if they have it... their Snow Pea Salad they sell by the pint over at the deli is the BOMB. I can eat 2 pints of that a day and never get tired of it. Only veggie thing I like that isn't pasta.
